With the Femap with NX Nastran Multistep Nonlinear users have access to an advanced nonlinear solution that provides comprehensive nonlinear capabilities for geometric nonlinear, contact, plasticity, creep, hyper-elasticity and other nonlinear material behaviors. The multistep solution allows users to set up sequential subcases for Preload, Nonlinear Statics, Modal, Buckling, Post-Buckling, and Harmonic Modes.

The product provides 2 nonlinear solutions in NX Nastran: SOL 401 and SOL 402. Based on very similar technology, both solvers offer mostly similar capability but each has some unique features. Refer to the product datasheet for more details.
